Tasty Tip: Apple Pie Oatmeal & Salted Caramel Swirl
What's more comforting than a hot apple dessert and scoops of ice cream?
What you need:
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1.5 teaspoons apple pie spice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 & 2/3 cups Eby Manor milk
- 3 medium apples peeled and finely chopped
- scoops of our Salted Caramel Swirl ice cream
What to do with it all:
- Preheat the oven to 300
- Whisk oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, spice and salt together in a large bowl
- In a small bowl, whisk the eggs and 1 cup milk until blended
- Add the wet ingredients to the oat mixture, stirring to combine just until moistened then fold in the chopped apples
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake in the oven at 300 for 1 hour
- Stir in the remaining milk and serve warm with scoops of our Salted Caramel Swirl on top ice cream
