Feature Flavour Friday: Caramel Apple
A good way to judge if we've hit the mark with a flavour is if Ajoa starts to dance when she tastes it for the first time. This is one of those flavours.
Caramel Apple is meant to make you think of fall fairs and that nip in the air. We use local Ontario 2nd grade apples that can't be sold in grocery stores because they are marked or misshaped. They taste perfect in ice cream though!
The apples are baked then blended into an apple sauce. We had a bit of cinnamon to our ice cream base, then mix in sautéed apples and a caramel swirl to finish.
We think this flavour will make you dance too! Come by the Tasting Room this weekend, Friday & Saturday 12-8pm to grab a pint for your Thanksgiving feast.
