Wicked Wednesday: Strawberry Lemonade
What you need:
- 1-3/4 cup white or cane sugar
- 9 cups cold water
- 8 medium lemons (or enough to get you 1-1/2 cups of juice)
- 1lb strawberries (sliced)
- 1 tub of our Strawberries & Cream Ice Cream
- lots of ice
- 1 bottle of Beattie's Potato Vodka
What to do:
- To make simple syrup, combine sugar and 1 cup water in a saucepan on medium-high heat. Stir to dissolve sugar and let the mix come to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Roll your lemons on your counter and slice lengthwise. Squeeze out all the juice. After they're all juiced, we recommend breaking up the fruit with a fork and squeezing again to get the last of the juice and pulp.
- Pour the rest of your water in a pitcher, then add the lemon juice/pulp mix and the saucepan of simple syrup. Add ice and sliced strawberries.
- Pour into mason jars, add a shot of vodka and stir.
- Top with a scoop of ice cream!
