Supplier Series: Steckles Heritage Farm

This tell-all Thursday we are welcoming a new seasonal supplier! Joel and his team at Steckle Heritage Farm have been growing the delicious local mint that is flavouring our Plum and Mint Sorbet! 

 

 

Home to gorgeous vegetable gardens and farm animals large and small Steckle Heritage Farm is a beautiful provincial heritage site right here in KW. Between kid’s camps, events and market days something is always happening! We are so lucky to partner with people and places so important to our community.

 

 

Joel, his family and his team have been busy all summer growing amazing local crops in the farm’s gardens including field cucumbers, herbs and even black garlic. Besides vegetables Joel also grows a breathtaking garden of edible flowers!  

 

 

Every Tuesday from 3-7 Steckle Heritage Farm is open to the community. We visited to see the gardens where our mint is growing and of course say hello to a few furry friends, definitely a summer must visit!
