This week, we are featuring a local business that is both a supplier and a stockist for Four All Ice Cream: Herrle's Country Farm Market in St. Agatha!

Herrle's has been a staple in the community since 1964 when Howard and Elsie Herrle started growing just a few acres of sweet corn and selling it from their garage. Since then, the family operation has grown significantly; Herrle's has continued to increase the crops they grow and build a great market space to showcase the local and high-quality foods they make accessible to Kitchener-Waterloo. Seasonal changes and the availability of fruits and vegetables happen fast in Ontario and the seasons are short. This season, Herrle's farm is growing 12 acres of strawberries, 35 acres of sweet peas, 35 acres or green and yellow beans, 110 acres or sweet corn, and 45 acres of pumpkins and squash. They also have another 300 acres of wheat, soybeans and alfalfa. 

When deciding what other produce goes on the shelves at the market, Trevor Herrle-Braun mentions they have long, trustworthy relationships with local farms that they have been working with for many years. Herrle's also stocks complimentary food products that they personally try and know their customers will appreciate and enjoy.  "It helps that we do a lot of sampling during our winter months.  And, we as a family must really enjoy the products as well."  

Family has always been at the heart of Herrle's Country Farm Market and today families can enjoy a train zooming around the inside of the market, a corn maze and play area outside and pick-your-own berries throughout the season. Trevor finds that convenience has been a big area of growth the last number of years, but freshness and knowing that the produce is local and has a family story to it has always been important to us and to our customers. Trevor adds that friendly staff and exceptional customer service are a big focus for our staff training. We try and maintain a wholesome family atmosphere, in which you feel welcome and relaxed.

Trevor is excited to be stocking and supplying Four All Ice Cream because he has been getting to know Ajoa over the past 2 years while she has been turning Four All from an idea into a product; "To see her growth, her passion, her motivation and drive to bring a wholesome, delectable product to market. Ajoa has succeeded and brought her dream to fruition. Finally tasting her finished product sealed the deal for us as a family, it is an excellent product, that we are proud to feature in our market."
